Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

WOW! I'm listening to the soundtrack to The Social Network by Trent Reznor and that guy whose name I never remember, and needless to say, in listening to the track entitled "Carbon Prevails" and looking at this image, I get the implication of a lot of jiggly, urban-sexy stuff going on just beyond the fringes of this picture. I love the light/dark contrasts and how austere the model looks, despite her simmering expression and pose. There's a kind of sharpness to this image I really like and I'm intrigued at the way her eyes/eye-makup, the lit portion of the wall behind her, and the upper border of her skirt all seem to be hewn from the same chilly-colored material. This is very sleek, kinda futuristic, and worthy of the best Scandanavian vodka ads around...that, by the way is a compliment since vodka ads tend to utilize the best photographers and most stunning models who probably manage their expressions and poses simply as a matter of wanting the shoot to end so that they can put on their grubby gym-shoes, and go grab a burger at that joint over on whatever street that burger joint is on. All of that is to say that I really like the vibe of this image and the way it interacts with oddly 80's sounding music with lots of electronic blips and bleeps in it. Marvelous!
