So today my dad calls, he lives just across the road from me, and says "I think the bus just hit your car". I go out, sure enough...as you can see from the pictures, my car got hit. I am VERY thankful my daughter who had JUST been dropped off did not get hit. The bus turns around in my driveway, but today the slush and soft dirt made her spin and the bus jack-rabbited, or jumped off to the side, and gave my car a great big fat kiss. Hey I might as well laugh at it...my daughter is safe, I have good insurance, and it could have been a heck of allot worse! I took these pictures with my cell phone, because of course my cameras batteries were dead! LOL Life happens while your making other plans in my house, always!

Oh my, thank God your daughter is safe and that your insurance is good. Accidents really happen, poor car--

Hi Rose. Well this is a bad break. But I too like your attitude. Situation could be far, far worse. Now, it will just be the pain-in-the-neck logistics of getting around while your car gets repaired. BTW, this came out great as a collage using your phone:)

Holy CRAP! I know this was a few weeks ago now, but I'm so glad no one was in that! Thank God your daughter was out! Jeez, I was in a car wreck last year. We went onto a mini round-about and a car came flying over a hill a 60mph and plowed straight in to the side of us. The passenger side, where I was sitting. Our car was effectively folded in half! Fortunately everyone walked away in one piece (even the idiot woman that turns out had been texting on her mobile phone while driving...). I was on my way to pick up my daughter when it happened. Thank God she wasn't in the car at the time. Situations like that give you a moment of pause. ... Anyway, enough of that! Your image just brought back a lot of memories, that's all.

It is good that no one was hurt or anything and that you are able to laugh about it.

I know the image and associated memories are old news by know, but I'm gallery snooping while things render in the background and saw this. Oddly enough, my sister's first wrecked car (of many--Our women should NOT drive, long story short) was also a 'Dodge' which did not perform to its namesake. Doh! Hope you've gotten the settlement by now!
