Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Glad you clarified that, Marilyn, because I was going to mention that you mispelled "damn." But you knew that. Cool capture of that section of Hoover Dam. I thought at first it was an underground parking garage that had been flooded during a huge storm.

WOW! Willya lookit that! This is such a dynamic shot; I love the almost acidic blue and the searing white: talk about dramatic! And the subject matter is a dam good one too. I love the boldness of this shot!

I am not going to say the word, I refuse. I'll just say the color of the water is stunning. Superb capture. Did you see the new auto bridge that was built across the gorge? Quite an achievement.
