In 2005 and after 31 years in the brewing industry I chose "Freedom 55" and retired early. This allowed me to follow my passion of scuba diving and travel. I moved out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada for 3 years and became a professional scuba instructer.  Shortly after returning from New Zealand in the fall of 2011, I have been having to deal with a couple of non diving related medical issues which has forced me to hang up the mask and fins for a spell. This should give me more time for taking pictures...lol.

"Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives."

It seems so odd to think of glaciers in the "ring of fire" area; reminds us that the world is a constantly changing place, albeit on a much larger time scale than our puny lifespans! Beautiful capture!

POV and framing really make this super awesome! Interestingly I think "Eglington" is also an old old estate in Northumberland on the Scottish border in the area where "Arthur" was to have been. It was the home to the Ogles (my ancestors) and generations of Knights, one of the few families which survived with land intact during the Saxon invasion.
