Description

I'm working on a series of color illustrations commissioned for a Steampunk anthology book, in which all the stories are set in Italy. This illustration in particular shows the hero of a story named "The Mystery of the Flying Machine". Rendered in Bryce 7 and Poser 7, postwork with Photoshop 7 and Dynamic-Photo HDR. Rocketer meets Island at the top of the World meets a Von Braun design for a Lunar transport - nice.

Fabulous retro feel to this composition! It takes me back to the "good old days" of science fiction. Bravo!

Very "Rocketeer," I love that schtuff! I'm a sucker for old school, like my little bots. I think sci-fi meets 57 Chevy just does it for me!!! I was a huge Buck Rogers fan, that's why I liked the original Star Wars Episode4. It had that Saturday serial feel. So does this, Spot on, mate! Love it! brUno JFYI: I'm in a Tshirt contest over at shirt.woot.com for $1000! I would appreciate a look or a vote if you like my design. http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=51400 Big Thanks!

Very nicely done. However I don't think you can call this steampunk. Steampunk is more 19th century. This has an early 20th century feel. That's just me nitpicking.
