i've taken an associates course in Film/Video production & am now taking an associates course in animation. in college i was trained in 3ds MAX. as impressive of a program as MAX may be, i've found myself preferring VUE xStream, CityEngine, Poser Pro & DAZ Studio Advanced...guess i preffer the animation process more than the modeling & skinning; which is probably why i work more with the aforementioned apps...they R very focused on the animation process...& in my opinion they have far higher quality render engines & features, but not quite as diverse in their tool cache as MAX. fair trade for me though.
my ultimate goal is to produce such animations as FINAL FANTASY, AVATAR or RENAISSANCE...& i'm planning on producing an all CGI/3D Star Trek fan-film in the likes of AURORA...& maybe a 3D/CGI sequal to Enemy Mine...Phi is the limit with 3D/CGI!!!

Wow, I love the POV and the "fisheye lens" effect. Beautiful!

thanx 4 the compliment. no fish eye lense was used though...it's all N the POV angle/position. Vue is an amazing app!

in addition to the "Futuristic City" & "Futuristic Ship" (by, 'Eugenia': Cornucopia Vendor Store) & SINCE THERE WAS NO OPTION AVAILABLE, i would like to give credit to the "CYDONIA" (Modular SC-Fi Construction set, by Ron Lanham & Gill Brookes) Model of the PYRAMID in the lower left background. I highly recommend this model set...it is an amazing addition to any Sci-Fi scene! the texture & bump maps are top quality with stunning reflection maps...& can be loaded in any 3D app.

Dig the toxic atmosphere and that's quite a funky building and pyramid, it's a shame the render isn't any bigger, so we could see some of the kool details you mentioned... Neat Sci-fi scene & ~Cheers~
