Description

This is a part of an old machine to make wine, that I shot in a museum. The colors have been enhanced to make it more steampunk.

Thank you! I colored some at post work, but the texture, the grain, was in the original photo. The camera got it all.

I have an odd "machine mythos" running through my gallery and so, naturally, when I come across an image like this, it gives me pause and makes my mind take off in directions inspired by that little self-contained universe that came oozing out of my creative pores. It'll happen again. I really like this image; there's a particular grace to it and your treatment of the photo really makes the colors and textures pop. This looks timeless: it could be something modern, something contemporary, or it could be something truly ancient. I love the fact that in a sense, it's whatever the viewer feels it is. The colors are deliciously rich and that, among many reasons, is why this is making a trip into my favorites.

Thank you Chipka. I knew you may like it, it suggests something sci-fi too.
