Nicely lit. That was the rifle I trained with as an Army Cadet in the fifties; the date on the boss was 1914 ... (Lee-Enfield Mark 3 Star).

The war to end all wars. If only. Superb image. I remember reading stories of how the Allies and the Germans would meet on Christmas day to sing songs and trade food only to go back to killing each other the next day. Harry Patch died on July 25, 2009. He was the last British veteran of World War I.
