My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Well seen mate! I have to say that this is one of my biggest pet hates. It just screams laziness!!!!!! Imagine the corners he cuts in every other aspect of his life.

He probably figured no one would notice! So much for that... Great capture!

He likely did no prep on the wheel itself, so the pain will probably come off the wheel before the tire! I always like to see Deeres out in the field.

Perhaps he was too 'tired'. Nice shot Clive.

Although I learned to drive a John Deere B at an early age (farm kids always do), my Grandad later bought a John Deere A, which seemed to me somehow to be a later model. BTW, the two small wheels together in front made for very tight turns and less likelihood of messing up adjacent crop rows when you made a tight U-turn at the end of the field! Also, at the end of WW2 the US government sent hundreds (thousands?) of these John Deere tractors to various war-ravaged countries (under the Marshall Plan) to help them get their agriculture going again. This succeeded magnificently, and was greatly appreciated "over there"!

SMILES at 'paint' job above/tires .... Reminds TallPockets of a 'FARMER'S TAN!' (WINK).
