Description

Before you stone me for the crappy technical quality of this image, please keep in mind that it was shot hand held with a 50mm lens whose autofocus was broken... Now, this was shot from the top of the Mandalay Bay Hotel looking up the strip in Las Vegas. Those of you who know the city will recognize some well known hotels like the Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, New York New York etc. In the distance you can see the Stratosphere. Incidently, the light on top of the Luxor (black pyramid hotel in the foreground) shining up is visible from space. Thank you for your visit and your very welcome comments and favs on my previous upload. Hugs Carin xx

The clarity on the right side of the image is exceptional. I doubt I could do better with a working camera and tripod. No one can ever accuse Las Vegas of being drab.

One of the items on my bucket list is Las Vegas, either during late March or late October when the weather is cool enough to walk around but warm enough to walk around! :P This shot gets me all excited to go take some pictures! :D

Your shot looks great to me but like Andrea the place looks like Hell, One day and I would be running for the Desert.

What a fantastic shot! I see no technical drawbacks in this at all...it actually reminds me of a cyberpunk novel cover only without a title in ugly typeface sprawled across the top. I love the colors and the whole, jiggly LasVegas vibe...and remember, if it happened in Vegas, it didn't happen anywhere else. Oh wait, that's not how the saying goes, but oh well...leave it to me to misquote something.

I'm not seeing the "poor quality" here. Looks pretty good, and fairly amazing to me! Especially so for a malfunctioning camera! It actually makes Las Vegas look like a nice place to be. And you can say a lot of things about Vegas, both good and bad, but "nice" wouldn't be one of them... The Luxor always reminds me of a slightly scaled down version of the headquarters of the Tyrell Corporation in "Blade Runner." You know me, any possible chance to mention one of my favorite movies, but I digress... This is an amazing shot!

Nothing to complain about in this Carin; I would have never known your camera was giving you troubles, imo this is beautiful and perfect.
