ABOUT JAMES LYONS
Like most other artists I have been involved with creating art in one form or another for most of my life.
My mother got me started at a very young age when she taught me how to draw small airplanes dropping bombs on people(that should have been a clue!)
After a long stint in the Marine Corps that included combat in Operation Desert Storm, I went back to my art and started anew.
Needless to say as the years passed by my work improved. In my artistic pursuit I have worn many different hats. I have done both mechanical and architectural drafting, sculpture, both acrylic and oil painting, watercolor and now, finally, I have entered the magical realm of painting with pixels!
I have had a lot of encouragement along the way and I sincerely appreciate all the help, be it a kind word or tip on how to do something better or the support that I have from family and friends!
A larger body of my work can be found here: The Art of James Lyons
My biography wouldn't be complete without mentioning some of my artistic influences, in no particular order they would be: Larry Elmore, Toxicangel, Ravenheart, Royo, Todd Lockwood, Matt Stawicki, Nene Thomas & Clyde Caldwell

Very realistic with great detail - glad it is fantasy only.

A truly scary thought....right up there with cavemen and automatic weapons...Great detail and a marvelous re-texture job.

Reminds me of the Philadelphia Experiment. Nice work on the light and textures!

I'm impressed by your knowledge of WW2 history. The Green Hearts were one of the very best Luftwaffe fighter wings. They fought on the Western Front right until the very end of the war. Kinda scary to think of the havoc they could have created with just a few hyper-advanced aircraft.

I've had these thoughts myself at times...You've illustrated an excellent point.!..Reminds me of the "Final Countdown" with Kirk Douglas when their aircraft carrier goes back in time. Excellent Detailing!...

Have had some similar thoughts. Great work on this render.

For us germans, this image is maybe a little bit "political incorrect"... but it looks good. This combination of modern plane, swastika and the green heart is somehow strange :)

Looks pretty nice, the textures and historic symbols remembered me the Me 262, and there was a movie back in the 90s? that i can't remember the name that the main subject was a F117 was lost in time, and arrives in Nazi Germany. Kinda like an alternate universe. Love the theme of what could happens if something in hystory was changed. Nice render!!!

Virus the movie is the second movie of a movie called the the Philadelphia Experiment (1984) where in the first one they were trying to make ships invisible to radar using magnetic fields the second movie Philadelphia Experiment II (1993) is the one you are referring to. Interestingly there are supposed claims they actually tried to do this for real back in the 40's and the results were less than desirable? If you believe the stories!
