Description
I saw these beautiful quilts, in three different residences, While on my trip to New Orleans.
It was very nice to see such handiwork, and have them on your bed too. :)

yeah but frankly nothing for me i prefer uniform colors i cant imagine sleeping in a bed with all flowery decors would suffocate me. (but beautiful to see)

Quilts I love them. My Great Grandmother used to make them all the time. Your image brings back memories of home made Macaroni and Cheese casseroles... and great-grandma stitching quilts... ... thanks for the view!

Wonderful collection of quilts Cheryl. There are a lot of ladies around here that still get together for quilting bees. They are mostly quite elderly though. It seems it is a skill that not many young folks are interested in learning. It is sad that such artistry will be lost one day in the not so distant future.

Wonderful collage of the beautiful quilts. The different patterns,shapes and sizes are outstanding. I agree with greyone,this artistry is fading. The Hospital Auxilary still has a few die hards that make baby quilts and sell them. Thanks for sharing,Cheryl.

in the upper right is a white bedspread that is the same kind of patchwork I'm doing! I learned from my mother and grandmother to do and I am decorating my cottage with handmade quilts! this picture is very beautiful and reminded me of so many things I did with my mother!
