Description

Dang ... I hope the title translates okay into British English! Not everything means the same thing there as it does here. Another iris from the archives. .......... We've only got a few things left to do in order to be ready to leave for our trip! Unfortunately, Bill tweaked his back yesterday, so we're playing it by ear. He's quite sure he'll be ready to drive by Wednesday morning ... we'll have to wait and see. I have no idea how long it's been since I looked at your art. A day? Two days? Too long, in any event. I'm tired of lists and projects, and am ready to sit in front of the computer for hours and hours and see what you've been up to. Soon. Soon. I miss the galleries when I'm not around!

This is so pretty. I hope you are back from your trip in time to bring us photos of the iris this year. But then, photos from last year are just as good and I wouldn't know the difference. I hope Bill heals quickly.

It translates for me - a picture says a thousand words after all! The tight crop is fantastic. Well done on LWITG and take care of Bill! Clive

Wonderful photo. My mother is an Iris, and even she would understand (and not be even slightly offended by) the term shag carpet... :o) Have a wonderful trip, when you finally get underway!

I've always thought irises are a fun flower - it's like a face with its mouth open and sticking its yellow tounge out at you! :-D Really cool macro you have here, Tara!

Superb macro of the gorgeous bloom. I don't know about an Iris or Shag Carpet, but that sure looks like an orchid to me. And I see there are the usual comments by the village back experts. A LITTLE knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Another one - just as luscious looking - as the first one ... I must admit, I am not familiar with the cryptic tale, but I've got a vivid imagination ? - who knows ? wishing you both a great adventure, BB
