Description

I'll admit that this one is kind of a "misfire" but I thought hey, why not post it anyway? The issue is that in my MIND I expected that the air space under Didi's "shelf" would be more pronounced, making her CLEARLY look like she was in the family way. I should have checked this FIRST, instead of LAST. Oops. In case you haven't guessed, I drew the shirt in the last frame. I think the fact that most characters wear tight clothes for purely practical reasons. Conforming clothes are just what they sound like, and making loose ones would be a lot of work for all the extra morphs. Dynamic clothes, ahh... Let's just say that they haven't hit their prime yet. (Try to get someone to sit down wearing dynamic pants!) On another front: can any dog lovers out there explain to me WHY tulip bulbs are so irresistible to Dachshunds!?

Excellent strip and some very valid points (not Didi's) regarding what people wear and the perception by others and in some cases, you just can't win!

Well, there's a lot to be said about conforming clothing.... Depending on whom it conforms to, of course. Then again, I can't get this damn hair room to grow hair worth a darn.... I'm still bald on top...... :-P This is a cool strip though - gave me a good chuckle!

Ha! Some people will find something to gripe about ALL of the time, and due to looks, something unfair and untrue as to the persons morality or ethics, just to stick it in where it can really hurt. If she can't "huff" about the tight wardrobe, it'll be about the loose one (oooh - Didi's expecting - and overnight, at that!). You've really hit a nail on the head with certain people's nasty psychology with this one. I've seen it all too often, and experienced it as well. You're a master at depicting everyday psychological situations. Poor Didi, neighbor's got a bad eye to her and will do anything to needle her when she knows it's her pesky mutt that likes the taste of tulips. An attempt to disarm Didi from the problem. Excellent work! :-)
