Lonely_Wolf, I understand where you are coming from, I've been there, truth of the matter is there is always those one or two people that look you up cause you commented on them, others really read and comment from the heart. Me on my behalf I don't like reading but I've told almost everybody that I've ever commented on, but hey I did read your 1st post all of the chapters, and this as well. Don't take to harshly, others have so amny pics to look at that it would take them foreve to comment eloquently on all of them... Keep Your Great Work Up... Danny

Torsten, you are obviously a very sensitive and deep person and you are clearly upset by what you see as the mistreatment and under appreciation of others. Yeah, there's a "ranking" and "chart" system here so that kind of thing is bound to attract those that are interested in getting into them. If that's their focus then let it be. It only has as much meaning as you allow it to have. Unfortunately I have seen several artists here vanish due to criticisms and negative comments (even insults). Others have simply deleted their galleries (which sucks when you have one of the images as a fav!!!). On the whole, the community here seems really supportive and friendly but, as with ANY kind of community, you will find those that seem to relish and/or enjoy putting people down. It sucks, but it's the way it is. While this kind of thing can be very upsetting and knock your confidence - to the point where you leave the gallery - these remarks are only the individual opinons of specific individuals. Simply put - don't let it get you down! IF there is an honest and valuable criticism that can help you be a better artist then take on board the comments and try and grow. If the remarks are pointless and intended to cause insult then just take it on the chin and laugh it off as the ramblings of people that don't know what they're talking about! I recently had someone comment on one of my images that they thought it was totally crap and that they thought it was rubbish. I just laughed! They removed their comment shortly after. If people have nothing better to do than belittle others then they are the ones that are truly sad. Such people should just be ignored. Don't let the comments of the few stop your work being enjoyed by the much bigger majority that take pleasure from viewing!!! ... Anyhow, I think I've rambled on WAY too much here but there you go. Don't let them get you down, bro! :)

I understand a bit what you said....i have not much time to make comments very extensive...too much persons to comment on....even if i read what is with the image...i ever try to make a significative one ...but is not posible all the time..sometimes i have not power enough. I agree that is important to look beyond the image and see the artist´s heart.

One or two words are better than none at all.I would prefer anything over nothing at all.Yes....Every so often someone will comment negatively but that's the risk of checking the criticism box when uploading any one given image.There's always going to be someone in the crowd that their only intention is to disrupt/hurt/or start a conflict.I've been here going on 9 years and have seen a lot of very talented artists such as your self be effected by this type of behavior pack up their stuff and go and my only suggestion is to develop tougher skin and not let these perpetrators get under your skin.You'll(over time)will realize who your real friends are and those that just want to mix things up on occasion.Yes people sometimes can only muster a couple of words but I look at it as at least they took the time to stop by and visit rather than just view and go.I'm guilty of this on occasion when I've fallen behind(due to life outside of Rendo)and that so many here post in any given day that it's realistically impossible to catch up at any one given time.I average 2 hours every morning and another 2 every night just to stay current.I may only leave a one two word comment and my real friends here and regulars understand this and life moves forward,As for the charts...better if you just realize that if your not creating nude art/borderline porn that your chances of making the charts here are slim and none.Well I too have rambled on way to long and just want to say that if your bothered by things like this then I'm afraid as so many others before you that you too will soon once again pack up and leave.My personal opinion is learn to take it on the chin and don't get so personally involved that you have to write something like this to have to express your personal feelings...some will welcome this as a chance to target you further simply because they see you as a weak link in a long ongoing chain.And before you go and reply just remember not all of us here fit into the category that you have stated above which in the future you need to end your ramblings on a note that suggests that this is not directed at everyone here only a suggested few otherwise your just asking for more problems..Not All of us here are insensitive and single minded...We are everyday people just like you that create art as a hobby and post it here looking for recognition in any small way knowing that what we do is for others to enjoy and also are aware that some will just be ass####s with only one goal....I hope you stick it out...Your Talents would be missed by more than a few....Have a Nice Day....(smiles)... -=Will=-

dont let it bring you down man,to be frank i think no one has the time to read everything sometimes i over look as well little things and i spend a lot of time here. some people are out to hurt other ones just because they are ignorant and dont know how much joy the one can have. for me its simple i spend most of my time in the galleries and because i do so i try to be nice i mean you dont go and shat in your nest ??but then there are peoples hihing behind an avatar and insulting i dont care for them. but i would not let someone take the joy out of me just for his omments. neither would i delete my gallerie, a brak perhaps to overthink someting but never a harsh decision as leaving or the like. yep and thanks for the flowers of jules i didnt say it before did i??.getting old on this side lol.

A dear friend on RR told me when I got upset when I put up a photos of my family up that she said (almost her words) I know you can do art and other things we don't need to be seeing photos of your family all the time ) something like that) I was so hurtful I nearly left myself it was rude uncalled for but I made a choice to stay but like I said a artist/ and friend said do not let anyone stop you from your passion and try to please only yourselve and I said this to you and everyone on here we can give resonable ideas but we don;t have to be rude we also have that choice as to delete I never did see flowers you sent I will look back some as I cannot post everyday sometimes I get 99/100 ebots and when some upload two or three in a day I just don't have a lot of time but I certainly do try: I love what you did here it's fantastic and heart warming

Ach' Torsten, wieder das gleiche leidige Thema, das hier eh' nix bringt, ich kommentiere z.B. zwischen 2-3 Stunden täglich. Ich schaue mir auch die Bilder genau an, (lesen tue ich auch nie alles) denn was ich zu meinemn Favoiten nehme muss Hand und Fuss haben (es rutscht auch schon mal eines aus Mitleid mit durch)! Ich habe erst kürzlich entdeckt, dass viele hier die 'Ratings' so nutzen, als wäre der Künstler eine Kür gelaufen, es gibt auch schon mal 'zero points' - grins, das ist mir echt zu doof, um mich auf dieses Niveau herabzulassen, von mir bekommt jeder 5 Punkte und ich nehme auch sehr viele Favoriten, mache hier denken das würde sie was kosten und dabei sind es ja nur 2 Klicks mehr auf der Tastatur, keine Favos = keine Charts: Es sind ehe immer die gleichen Künstler in den oberen Rängen vertreten, bin schon mal froh auf Platz 45 zu kommen!!! Aber diese Favos kommen ja auch von den vielen Besuchern, ich möchte die ganz ehrlich gesagt nicht jeden Tag kommentieren nmüssen!!!!! Ich glaube, dass viele hier, dir dein Kommentar verübeln werden, selbst bei konstruktiver Kritik gibt's schon mal fresche Mails, usw. - Also bei mir ist alles 'Nice & Beautiful' auch wenn's mal eine grosse Zumutung ist! Well, I always read the words of the artist and always watch the image in full size before leaving a comment and I have done it with your "tear". I don't know who are Jules or Angela, I don't know everybody here but with the few ones I know and the others I don't know but whom I comment the images, I always do the same ... I understand what you mean, it is sad indeed ... but I do like what people have replied to you here and their honnesty :-)

WOW Wolfie, take a moment and take a leaf out of my mate Zanders book (and all the other kind folk who have commented here) as he seems to know what he's talking about. Then again, I think we all know what you mean, time is precious and most people have to be selective on commentary as they can't comment on everything. Treasure those people who take the time, precious few do, but don't stop giving back just because of it (them), 'cos if you do, you just join the ranks of the superficial. I care if no-one likes my stuff or doesn't comment, lord knows they're few and far between and yes it does seem sometimes it's a case of who you are or how long you've been posting (I especially get irked by posters who expect comments but don't) but love the guys who do as it's them who make a difference. ...and yes I will say again I didn't comment or post for 8 years 'cos deep down inside I'm an arse (or maybe a reformed one) but now I am, I'm loving the few conversations I never had before, even if they only last a few secs. FYI, I love your commentary and posts and always look forward to your next one (along with my friends, as I'm sure we all do) Now, be a good doggie, sit at your PC and bark loudly so we can all hear you! Oh, oh...Wurde hier wieder die leidige Lavine durch eine selbstgelegte Tretmine ausgelöst? Ich kenne das Gefühl, wenn man sich kreativ den Kopf zerbricht und nur die Barbies und die Feen in die Rankings kommen. Aber das sch*** ich drauf, weil mir das alles egal ist. Ich versuche mich einfach nur künstlerisch auszudrücken und mache es nur für den Spaß an der Freud, oder eher der Weg ist das Ziel und wenn nebenbei noch was Gutes bei herauskommt, auch schön. Ich versuche es auch allen recht zu machen, aber ich bin auch nicht jeden Tag on und kann auch nicht alle Bilder kommentieren. Aber deine Bilder sind durch die Reihen alle wirklich spitzenmäßig!

Though "cookiecutter" comments or short messages can be frustrating, but it is also true that, sometimes, brief comments mean that the person cares enough to take the time to say something, even if just a few words of praise squeezed in the very limited time one has between dozens of RR friends plus RL obligations. Of course, one cannot but agree with the idea that it is important to go beyond the charts and the occasional disappointments and appreciate the art and artist for what they are.

I love you Brother and I love my Flowers and I thankyou, I hope you stay here, all may not comment or be nice etc.. but cherish the ones who do. I think they matter the most..

Dear friend, I agree with (mgtcs) I also had that problem in the beginning here on Rendo, but you know who your reall friends are, and that is importend. I like your artwork my friend, please keep make your art and love what you do. And this image is really beautiful, it speeks for it self....excellent done.

~I come late to comment, but it is fortunate that I get to read all that the others have said! I agree with most all of it. Sometimes I only leave one word comment, because the time is short and demands of life are long. But if I only leave one word it is to say I have seen your work and enjoyed your art. Sometimes I have the luxury of time to say more and wish I did always and for everyone. I ignore those who post unfounded negative comments, they are not worth consideration. And I will say again, I enjoyed very much reading the story of the lonely wolf and the deeper story behind it...as well as your wonderful illustrations that accompanied the story! I am sorry when people leave, but each must follow the beat of his own drummer. I do this, make art and post comments, because it brings me enjoyment. If it did not, then in honesty I would leave too. But I still find joy in creating images, reading comments, and looking at others work and making comments...and so I go on!~

You know.. I had begun to wonder this past week what had become of Myc.. and now the answer is revealed. I have been in a swirl of my daughter's senior year, work.. company.. trying to get my daughter to friends on spring break and then more work.. ebots not working.. and then before I write, the answer is before me. I have not experienced the ugliness that you have here.. perhaps my art is innocuous enough that it doesn't garner those comments. I'm not sure. I hope that we would all support each other. They deserve neither our time nor our tears. And don't mind the charts - what do they mean, actually? The most important is what your art brings to us who care, not if you place 7th or 21st in that silly chart. Comments... I have appreciated your comments from the very first one. I really did, and I'm always glad when I read what you have to say after I have uploaded a new render. You are one of those who take their time to write something personal. Something that's more than just a duplicated sentence, or even just a single words, that you can read hundreds times in the gallery. Yes, these comments are still comments, but they are not personal, and I dare to say they don't mean much to me. They are only "copy and paste" thing. I know I should comment more, but sometimes one's time is very limited. I could sit here in hours and just browse through all the new uploads and comment what I'd like to say. But it's nearly impossible. I try to always comment carefully on all the fellow artists' work, those I care for. Then I also comment on work I find interesting, even if I seldom get anything back. But honestly, it would be wrong to expect it, this way of thinking is rotten, sort of "I'll scratch your back and you'll scratch mine"... I'd say this is the way the Charts are working actually, they not about who's best. So please, keep this in mind, if it makes you sad you're not the chosen one. The comments depend pretty much on words and language. If you haven't the gift of words, then it can be difficult to express what you feel when you see an image. Besides, if English is not your mother tongue, it's an additional reason why people might comment less. So don't allow these subjects let you down. Focus on your art, and on opinions of those fellow artists who care! :) Vashek
