My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!

Stunning capture Clive.My week only start now. Morning shift till next week Thursday,bit I am taking a days leave next week Thursday. My youngest daughter will be in Medforum hospital for the whole day as her Tonsils will be removed by a specialist.

I know the name of this flower but can't think of it right now Oh this makes me so mad when I know it and can't think I am thinking it is an Asarina or in that family maybe.....(Schropulariaceae)sp commonly called the Chick A Biddy plant...I may be wrong but I think it's in this family.......if I am please forgive me as it's late I couldn't sleep and just woke up.........my thinking cap isn't on good yet as I took a pain pill thus the reason I am up at 4am in the morning YAWN and why I am headed back to bed as well Hope you find out the name if I am wrong.........and please let me know if you do This is a fav with me.........as you know I am the flower fanatic on the site I think LOL Love n hugs Susan~
