You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia,  if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess  I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !**                                              that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

heck with the specks and all that! these are great captures of this moth
Madbat
Yeah, um, did you know you also have a huge moth on your window?

I always knew you Europeans were kinky but...oh, its the moth! Really spectacular captures especially the first image. I'm surprised it stayed around long enough for you to get the shots. It could have been sunning itself. And you didn't have to tell us the window was dirty. You could have said it was snowing or the moth had a really bad case of dandruff.

I was going to say something I shouldn't but will refrain!!!! These shots are brilliant Brigitte, perfect in every respect.

Look at those windows their disgusting. The top image looks like he's begging to get in. Backgrounds are to busy, top one is also to bright isolate him in photoshop and darken the backgrounds, You'll find what I say is true. Give it a go, Your BOSS.

Oh, is this Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hide? Such GREAT photo-shots of both! You're very clever having this stunning result, dear Brigitte. What a beautiful drawing of the butterfly on both sides. Oh, and windows, mine are more dirty than this, yours are peanuts LOL.

Wonderful captures of this moth with the suggestive title. lol. A great idea to get him from both sides and who cares about the window not being spotless it is clear enough to see out. We live by the sea and my windows are always dirty.
LovelyPoetess
Wonderful little moth! I find I'm partial to the "looking in" one, his little eyes seem to plead to be let in. And I'm with you on that window cleaning thingy, it just gets dirty again....

Wonderful capture and shot !

Very nice macro shot- technically not with a "macro lens" but when you focus this closely on the subject and get a clear shot it is indeed a macro shot. If I had a ton of money I would buy you a camera and macro lens just to see what you could do with it!

Thanks for your visit to my gallery. I hadn't been by yours. This is a spectacular portrait that gives me joy. (And if there wasn't some dirt on the window, I don't think this chunky monkey would have been able to hang on for your shot!)

I prefer the first one! Have a blessed day! Lior PS:Thank you very much for your visit in my gallery. I wanted to illustrate :"Epitaph"(King Crimson) to express my sorrow and sadness 'cause of Mom-RIP who passed away 5 years ago);it's a message to express her I'm ready to give her my soul and to take her place for giving her the possibility to relive so:" "...Confusion will be my epitaph. As I crawl a cracked and broken path If we make it we can all sit back and laugh. But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying, Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying..."

This is an awesome image Hugs Susan~

What a unique metamorphosis between the front and the back of this aloof creature, BB! You have a done a great service to us all with such exquisite clarity, color and an edge-to-edge composition. And, the windows could do with a bit of despeckling.

Marvelous captures! It's great seeing him from both sides! It's wonderful seeing the structure of his wings on the inside shot with the light shining through. His legs look like twigs. He's quite cute with his big eyes, curled up tongue, fussy belly, and gently curved antennae. He also looks like he has a single horn on his head. A unicorn moth. From the back he looks like a fancy fur cape. His body blends in with the wings and the heavy black bands seen from the front are just a delicate shading along the edges. Beautiful images! No comment on the state of my windows.

I love how you show both sides. Marvelous shots.
