Description
The sound that had drawn attention down the hallway by the Youngling had been keys stolen from the table top littered with books, trinkets of war and scrolls. A thief had found his way within Bram by way of the vast tunnel systems below the large castle that sat among the crags of the mountainside.
Even as the faint clink of metal happened the elven male closed his eyes in hopes that it had been minute enough to be missed. The sounds of approaching footsteps, however, told another tale.
Crouched against the wall of the study beside the thick oak door he waited then. When the footsteps ceased his breathing paused.
Perhaps it was a moment that will pass.
Perhaps the door would remain unopened.
The idea of being caught within Bram's walls by the Ventruzsch family male curdled Thanatos' stomach; there were many tales told of the violence and merciless treatment of those that fall into the hands of the head of the family.
He was -not- wanting to become one of them.
