Description

I never know the correct etiquette when deciding I can improve on a image I have already uploaded to the gallery. If I just change the image then people who have been kind enough to leave a comment may feel differently once there has been a change. However, if I delete it and upload another it seems disrespectful too. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I did not like the last image and I think this is an improvement. I always seem to be dissatisfied with my images which has lead to a block which I am hoping to clear. I am planning on doing some speed renders in an attempt to overcome the block so be prepared for what might come. :) Some people asked about the lighting I used in this image (which is the same as the last one). I am using IDL with 1 infinite light set at 50% and 1 specular light. There is no AO set on the main light. I hope this helps. I am still learning about IDL so if anyone has any advice please let me know.

By all means re-upload the improvement. I see no reason not to upload a redeaux as long as you let people know it's a re-do of a previous image. I once heard Larry Dixon explain in a workshop that "Art is never finished, it is abandoned." If it wasn't time to abandon this piece then you uploaded an earlier version as well. That said, I missed the earlier version. This version; Her expression is gripping to say the least. The posing and lighting seem only to support her expression, either way, this image is excellent and clearly has a lot to say. Very Well Done!
