Description
This is my first Bryce image. I downloaded the new version 7 PLE and spent the day trying things out. I like the materials and the water effects I don`t like the render times! This one reported that it took 22 minutes but with AA it was twice that!
I found the navigation tricky and couldn`t use my Bambo as it shot all over the place! I suppose its a case of getting use to it! I used poser to Import Bong posed! I fell I have a lot to learn with this!
I will redo the scene from scratch today and get myself familiar with it a little more!

Excellent scene! Gorgeous lighting. There are tuts for Bryce right here on Renderosity. Have a look at them. If you prefer Video tuts, try DAZ. They have plenty! Corrie

Nice work, I like the composition, and that character. You're right about the render times, especially when you have lots of reflections, or volumetrics.

I really like what you did here! It's surrealistically cool! I just broke down and got bryce 7 pro (like I need yet another app) and I have to agree with your thoughts on Bryce so far. I find the only program so far that does GI and volumetrics fast is Vue, followed closely by Cararra. But Bryce is far more economical than Vue will ever be, so it's a bit of a tradeoff there. Happy experimenting!

Nicely composed - I like the transparent mesh effect. Stick with Bryce - though it has it's quirks & flaws, it can be mastered & is a wonderful tool for unleashing your creativity. Good luck...
