Description

I would never have seen this huge skinny grasshopper if it hadn't moved. It was about 3" (75mm) long with its long thin legs. The best camouflage I have ever seen, even its eyes have a stripe through plus those wierd shaped antenna. Try a zoom to look at its tricks for blending in.

You can't beat Mother Nature for the best camo in the world... That is the wierdest looking grasshopper I have ever seen! Super macro capture you have here! Are you sure there wasn't a tiny spaceship somewhere close? LOL!

This is surely not a common British one, Kevin! What a find.. I have kept Australian ones and of course the laboratory ones in the past, but this looks like neither.
