Thank you for your comments on my last image: the ocean for angela, jules and torsten
after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use, (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

This really cool Steve! I love the stark contrast between the bright purple outfit and the muted colors of the rest. Her eyes are beautiful too. Nice work!

That gazebo is absolutely loaded with character. That, in combination with the other atmospheric background elements weaves a scene of magic and mystery. I really like the balance offsets between the delightfully clad young lady's hair and the radial branches of the tree behind her. I vote for H.P. Lovecraft as the author of the stories in the book. Well done Steve!

the monotone backdrop really makes the purple pop causing your character to stand out--well done and beautiful

A beautiful gothic work - just inspiring, Steve! This has a spooky, and yet somehow comforting feeling as well - a difficult thing to pull off, but you've done it well here! I just DL'd your wonderful BG - Thank You for sharing! I've got an image in my head - I'll see if I can bring it to the small screen LOL! Excellent work, my friend!

Watching the movie "Tangled" on a big screen TV in 3D I marvelled at how easy it was to tell Matt painting from modelling and they did not use displacement maps for the very weathered wood textures. Did I see this as a weakness? Instead I thought how the photoreal wood textures needed to become character wood textures to become seamless with the cartoon figures. Here the single figure is realistic and that clash does not present itself. Yet, what is being said about extremely real motion capture in 3D movies making viewers uncomfortable brings me back to Renderosity where what is not real is obviously fantasy. (Should I have said suspiciously? Obvious denies the magic.)
