Description
I like the way these leaves are colored in a camouflage pattern. They covered the floor of the forest in a small part of the park. They kind of remind me of Red Beret soldiers.

These are uncommon maybe even rare as they don't grow just anywhere. Wonderful shot of this trillium! They don't like to be transplanted but I have had success when moving them to a similar spot in my yard (in the past). According to "North American Wildlife" it is a Toadshade - trillium sessile.

Such a beautiful picture of a pretty plant! Yes, it certainly does look like it is wearing camouflage! I am not a botanist by any means, but the three leaves with the flower makes me wonder if it is a kind of trillium....we have trillium here in NH, but I have only seen white.
