My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Great shot Tara, probably been a barn fire there!

Nice shot. When I see pictures like this I wonder why the owners don't tear it down or repair it. Maybe something to do with taxes.

Awaiting the next hurricane maybe.. Nice capture anyway Tara!

There is something extremely appealing about this image.. it may be that it calls up forgotten somethings from my childhood, I'm not sure. I shall have to keep it and think about about it!

Fantastic shot!!!!

These derelicts are fast fading away in the big valleys of California. Every set of bones makes me think about farming here before the advent of super highways and ever creeping suburban sprawl. Wonderful photo...like the diagonals and overall composition.

Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones. Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones. Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones. Now hear the word of the Lord. (Initial chorus from an old spiritual) Interesting capture of this olde long abandoned edifice.

I just love these old derelicts for some reason - perhaps because of the stories the hold of days gone by... Spirits of the past... Lovely shot, Tara!

Very nice shot!!

Testimony to giving up or not giving a darn. Structures are so expensive, one wonders why they let them go.
