Description

With the start of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, I thought I would post some of my early artistic efforts based around the battlefields of Va, Md and Pa. Further postings will not have descriptions since everything is really explained here. Enjoy and please zoom in. Based on my photography at events and then reworked on my tablet and Painter, I enjoyed printing these out on canvas, framing them, and surprising the re-enactors that I was illustrating during evening rounds through the Sutlers camps. It was a fun way to get started and best of all was meeting those who relive history. Thanks for the comments!! I quite doing this type of work for 3D modeling/rendering of my own efforts becoming tired of people saying... "Oh Photoshop... I can do that"

Wow, reminds me of some of the brilliant paintings of Don Troiani. Really nicely done, like the "oil painting" filters you applied. Wonderful artisitic style, love it!

The tone and composition are excellent. Really looks like the paintings of the time. People don't realize you also have to be a good photographer in order to get this kind of excellent results. - Bob
