Hi Guys...
I'm RGUS, a 3D artist from New Zealand hence the Kiwi Avatar.
I've been using Poser since 2004 and recently begun to use DAZ Studio.
Originally I used the render engines bundled with the base software and it was not until Octane was available did I change engines. I believe iRAY, now supplied with DAZ Studio, does a very good job. However, my development has stayed with Octane since I use both Poser and Studio with Octane for each as the main render engine.
Enjoy!

Well whats obvious to me (and might not be it) is the dude in the back .... stands out like a sore thumb ...... he just looks wrong ... but also the light doesnt fill up the entire circle of the shrine? (up top - the "roof") ..... and the jar under the table is sitting inside its lower tray .....

See... see, see what I mean.. .and I ain'y gonna render this mother again!

Finger entering her skirt
Faemike55
What is that comingg out of her skirt?, the jar 'in' the table; other than that, it's a nice image

Well I guess the mystery is solved by Artemis, But I was going to say that you accidently covered up her naughty bits :) That is so unlike you:) still there's always next time.

We all have bad days, which leed into the night.

hey, don't torture yourself, Deane..... leave that to us!!!
beasta
a bit below your standard?
RGUS
Hey beasta... yup I would say it was... but it does serve to show that even us old buggers get it wrong sometimes and we are not Gods...LOL Considering the effects alone in this image, the flaws are secondary... now let's all go off and have a good look at other artist images with the same critical eye.

I have had the same rendering prop. I forget to set the "Collide With" properly. I'm glad I'm not the only one... Love the scene! I'm still working on my next one. You're inspiring me for the one after this one.

Ahhh the joy of creation...Frustrating often!! Xcellent image despite the jar prob, it also drops off to the left a tad which could be sorted with a crop!! You are not alone in this my friend!!

I had to read all the comments to see the mistake!!! I have in fact been on a long break (haven't posted anything since February) because I couldn't seem to turn out anything but "disappointments" and "mistakes." Now I don't feel so bad knowing "the gods" sometimes have bad days too!! (who would have guessed?!!)

I think your too hard on yourself maybe a couple of quick renders at window size get an idea of how it looks when you get the one you want up the dimension to the massive 3000x2000 whatever its still an excellent composition!!

In my humble way of seeing, is the effect of cone of light that makes this work does not look like he usually does, there seems to me the biggest problem of this work, if he had something else to note is that the dress does not fits well, but who among us has not committed herrores cast the first stone who has not. The work is excellent

we see so many bad images here :-) except for the jar under the table, an error of distraction, nothing shocks me so only I could do that :-) (sorry for the translation...)

Awesome

Both the hair and the skirt are being blown by breeze. On the other hand the candle flames are perfectly straight(no breeze).

Fantastic scene!!!!

Honestly, despite the rather minor flaws (we all have those moments from time to time) by and large the image still looks beautiful, so I would chalk this up as a win regardless. But if you are anything like me this is killing you and the only thing more painful than not fixing it is how much hell it would be to re-render it. I have put off projects for as long as a year after hitting a snag that would involve minor tweaks and a huge, long re-render. But then I am also always looking for ways to upgrade older works I have done. I'm like George Lucas in the sense that as technology (and my skills) improve, I want to go back and remake or update my older work using the new stuff. I say, fix it later if you must, or leave it. Even a flawed diamond is still pretty

the chair looks wrong in proportion to the rest , otherwise its a stunning scene :)))))))))))))))
