Description

Hi friends, This picture is dedicated to Mike, as I have seen his experiments with simple figures. It's always nice when other dive into the world of the abstract and make attempts with simple shapes. Whether as a gimmick or study - it's fun and one can learn a lot. But for now enough of these images. I must once again produce something respectable. LOL In my archives are still lots of it! And if you like it, I can always give one once again for the best. Vashek had asked if my waterfae was the longest render. No, not by far. The longest was 5 months on 5 computers simultaneously in a Vue rendering farm. But the image does not exist! LOL It was to 64% complete - then came a thunderstorm! Broken LOL! I thank you very much for the comments on Unusual Things II. Again, I am intrigued by your words. The scenes are really simple. But I also love the colors and reflections in em - as you, i hope! Your friend - the lone wolf - Torsten

Wow.. 5 months? One could sail across the world in such time. :) maybe, I don't know anything about sailing, but it's interesting you had the patience to wait that long. After a few hours I bite my nails wondering if something went wrong with it all. :) Very nice experiment, I love seeing how these come out. :)

Fascinating work. It makes me think of an alien artefact waiting to be discovered on a distant world.

I like these simple shapes and colors, they can together make a great image anyway! As far as your longest rendering time is concerned - I hope you are joking, Torsten! I remember my own longest rendering time - it was ages ago, I had my very first computer and I think I've used Bryce 2 or 3 then, creating an ambitious project with a figure inside a sphere, lol... I inferred that this scene would look much better with some reflections (ehm, I still do!), so I applied a mirror texture on the figure, and for a cooler effect, a swirly water texture on the sphere... This hopeless setting has almost killed my computer, and after 2 days I gave up because the rendering was far away from ready... :D Vashek
