Description
The Frari’s Basilica. In a crystal vase there is a small amount of balm which was mixed with a few traces of Christ’s blood. The relic, which was highly worshipped in St. Christine’s Church in Costantinople, came into possession of Melchiorre Trevisan, Fleet Commander, in 1479. He donated it to the Frari Church (19th March 1480).
