Description

Yesterday after I ate lunch I ran down to my beach and as I pulled onto the dirt road that leads to the beach there was a lady with a bird on her shoulder. I stopped my car and waved to her. When she waved to me I patted my shoulder with my hand and then gave her a thumbs up. She smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I was down on the beach for about 45 minutes and when I came back out she was standing next to a lady talking with her with the bird still on her shoulder. I took this as a sign that I needed to stop, get out and ask her if I could take her picture. She said sure as long as her daughter was in the picture with her. It was her daughter that she was talking to. Now this lady didn’t remember me but a couple of years ago I stopped and talked to her about her peacocks. She has 20 peacocks. She let me take pictures of them back then. I remembered the oldest peacocks name was Elvis. So I ask her how Elvis was doing and then she remembered me. She told me that Elvis died last year. Now I can confirm that Elvis is dead haha. ( Sorry ) anyway then she ask me if I would like some peacock feathers. I said sure and she went into a shed and came back with at least 50 feathers, maybe even a 100 feathers. I told her boy that is a lot and she told me that her whole shed is full of the feathers because they all lose them every year. It was a pretty bird on her shoulder but I am not sure what kind it is. If anyone knows I would love to hear it. She told me that I could stop by anytime and take pictures of her birds anytime I want so be expecting a few peacock shots in the next few weeks haha. Now her birds name is Chez and her daughter introduced herself as Char so guess what her name was? It is Stephanie. For some reason I was expecting something different lol. I have also seen 2 cats and two little dogs on her property. I hope to visit with her more. I can tell she is a real kind soul. I hope everyone likes my little story from yesterday. Randy

Wonderful story and image! You really captured the interesting and fun encounter you had with these ladies. I look forward to the peacock shots. Excellent shot of the ladies and bird. I also like the closeup of the bird and the reflections of the trees in the window.
