Description

this park is under water as you can see the path is covered up pretty good. I got home yesterday afternoon and was pretty tired. I will show you photos for awhile. I should be getting a new laptop this week, and I haven't decided if i should put my runtime on an external hd and then move it to a new computer or just reinstall everything. Fresh install might be better.

Im in the middle of reinstalling about 58 gigs worth of runtime. I had to really think about doing it but am glad I did. I just wish I had put it all on my external drive instead of my main drive on the computer. Sorry to hear about the flooding, be safe out there! JL

Nice photo MOTD, contrasts nicely with the stupidly warm weather here in blighty! As for the Runtime, if you plan to keep everything then xfer to an ext HDD then transfer back to you new laptop/PC then you'll have a backup as well. I have loaded manually my Runtime twice and it took 6 months of solid graft each time - it's just not worth it anymore so I always have a backup (400 Gb is alot of rubbish after all!)

I have my runtime saved on external HD. Before I had the external I had to to have all my purchases reinstated then install everything. Alot of time, alot.. Good reminder to back it up once again as had made purchases since last time... Very depressing and excellant capture.

fabulous capture. I've been through installing my runtimes on a new PC. It went on and on for days and weeks. Next time I think I just take the ext. HDD. Or maybe I just have to much stuff ;)

I sorted my runtime a while back into different sections and it works fine for me, I always back it up to an exterior as well. Good luck with it.

Cool shot. I would go for the external drive. You can move it to another PC then.

Excellent shot, Cheryl! You know, when I got my new machine, it took over 2 WEEKS to install everything I'd aquired in the little over a year I've been playing with Poser. With the exception of the content that came with Poser (and the few items with Python that HAVE to be in the main Poser runtime), everything resides in external runtimes, which I back up onto a networked drive enclosure weekly. If anything gets messed up, and I have to reformat, I'll just be able to copy my runtimes back over. I'm NOT going through that installation headache again! LOL!
