Description
This is from a museum in North Cyprus. The cabinets were full of these "Toys". They had amusing creatures riding horse like animals and playing musical instruments. There's a figure a few inches high of a mother breast feeding, maybe a "doll". These finds are dated 1000 - 500 years B.C. I found these facinating as a snapshot of life modelled nearly 3000 years ago!

I am fascinated Kevin. They are wonderful objects to have survived all this time. The dolls on the nearest horse look great fun, one playing a stringed instrument whilst two dance. I wonder if they were travelling entertainers or just a lovely toy for a chld. Wouldn't we love to know more. I like the hair of the driver! Thankyou for sharing:-)
