here another painting I did at the same time as the boxer.
First i talk about the boxer. I know his jaw is a little weak and It do look like his leg is missing. I was working with a photo i got off his facebook page. he told me to when i ask to paint it. His leg is behind the other boxer leg and you can not see it. I also saw the background in the photo did not come out like I wish so I repainted it last night. just the background blue. i did this just in case we wish to produce them to see at the matches. i talking about photo shots of it like it be on a canvas.
I did a lot of diff stuff to the paing that is not in the photo. i did not reproduce the photo into paint.
The same with this shrimp boat. i did not reproduce the photo into a painting. It would been hard for me to do for now , for one thing and two it would been too busy.
I thought of the artist eye just now. Most artist will paint what they feel that is good to them to put into the painting. some artist will try to do it like a photo but will never get all the details. Will look good but so what/ that how I feel.

oh this is hard to do and if you wonder why the water is muddy looking because that how the water is around here. it is not clear. even along the Gulf of Mexico it is muddy and not blue or clear. If you put your hands ito the water it be hard to see the hand then.

I gave a sigh of contentment and wonder when I looked at this. I have to say, it is one that sinks deep in my heart. Astounding detail to things, such as the water which is almost always like coffee with a dash of milk in it. Stellar art you do, dear friend.

Shrimp boats is a'comin, I see them off in the distance.... Terrific acrylic work here with all the bright colors and neat textures. I heard on the radio that the Gulf of Mexico had just about returned to the way it was before the BP oil spill, Jock, so I'm surprised the water is in that condition.

This is wonderful! It has an excellent feel to it with the boats sitting lazily in the water, but ready for action. Great lines of all the rigging and beautiful sky. I like this a lot!
