Description
Sometimes things just don't work out, and all that's left are the memories...
Originally I wanted to let the face fade into the background, but I thought she was to beautiful to do that to her. So I needed to express the meaning in some other way. Luckily I came across this fine work http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=§ion=&q=%22the+end+of+something%22#/d3a638w and so I "borrowed" the leg

Okay, it makes me a bit sad that no one has commented on the guy leaving the room.. the leg and the boot going out the door on the left. Why? That adds such a poignancy to something that yes, is a good portrait, but with that element, has a new level of melencholy. Is is moving on, new town to play in? Was he her great love, or.. another take, it is opportunity that could be leaving her the artist. All possibilities. Add to that, a very stunning render with controlled light, beautiful expression, lovely use of props. Great job, my friend, I am impressed!

Oh that is just great, what a fine moody composition. Even without the departing leg this work has such technical strength that it well stands on its own, and unlike my friend Delaney I am not sure if the leg really adds a lot, in fact I didn't even see it until after I had formed my opinion of the work.
