thanks for stopping in for a peek, one thing about the catergory i put this in is that it will get a lot less views then with something with nudity or dark / evil based images. where are our morals?? but i hope you do enjoy for the ones who view and comment. a friendly note: easter bunies don't rise again.. i enjoy both traditions on this holiday, i fail to post easter bunnies cause they are secondary to lord jesus.. and i have enjoyed all your posts for this holiday my friends and guests.. lol steve

Steve, your artwork is always well done regardless of the genre. BUT ... actually Steve, if you research Easter you will find it is really ALL about sex. It descended from a long line of pagan religions involving the Goddess Astarte: Astarte was connected with fertility, sexuality, and war. Her symbols were the lion, the horse, the sphinx, the dove, and a star within a circle indicating the planet Venus. Pictorial representations often show her naked. Astarte was accepted by the Greeks under the name of Aphrodite. The island of Cyprus, one of Astarte's greatest faith centers, supplied the name Cypris as Aphrodite's most common byname. And of course as we know, the Romans adopted the Greek gods and goddesses just giving them new names. Easter was and attempt by the early church to "Christianize" this ancient pagan holiday. That is the connection to the "bunny" and the egg - fertility. So as you can see, the modern version of Easter still contains aspects of the worship of the ancient goddess of fertility and sex.
