Description


This is a long sliver of a canvas work done years ago and if I remember about 42" in length. The desire was to have heavy atmospherics and just an impression of figures and canon. You see some more of this style later this week. Enjoy

Classic...this scene has been in my minds eye at almost every Civil War battlefield I've visited. It was dangerous business being a Field Artilleryman in the Civil War...at times, one's own guns were more dangerous to the gun crews than the guns of the enemy. Really like the atmospherics.
