Description

Its hard to believe that armies use to line up and just walk forward toward each other. This is one of my earliest works. Let me apologize for posting some of these over the past few days. Looking back over my submissions I see that I have posted some of these in past years. Regrettably my memory, or just staying up with what I have done.. I guess you could say memory management... isn't what it use to be. Today's 3 Civil War postings where all from the 145th Antietam re-enactment that was also being filmed for a Hollywood product.

Been watching Ken Burn’s Civil War series on PBS…I always do when it comes around so this really resonates with me. Can’t help but hold back a tear when I read or hear Abraham Lincoln’s powerful November 1863 Gettysburg Address. Thanks for these postings.

I think it is great what you've done, both for us and especially for the folks doing these re-enactments. It's important to not only remember history, but understand it.

Absolutely wonderful! Your art astounds me. This sends chills down my spine. We always used to say "The enemy won't kill us, our officers will." This really speaks to that point. A ghastly piece that really speaks volumes. Thanks for sharing your art this way. I for one don't care if it is a duplicate posting. I have not seen the first one, so this one is a gift.
