Description

One of my very first works and more photo layering then my later works when I had a tablet and Corel Painter. I was still running a software company and this was just fun as I started to attending re-enactments for the first time. The knowledge gained with these early efforts along with my work now as a 3D modeler, provides me the tools to mix these skill sets to create something beyond just what can be done by a single program. For those who look at the progression in my art, remember that the goal is the image in your mind and soul, not the image that can only be created in a single program.

Interesting to see where you started and where you are now. You are right. To make an image your own, you need to play with it in more than one program. I sometimes use four or five programs on one picture. You have to know the strengths of each one, in order to utilize them to reach your goal. I didn't know you use to run a software company. Makes sense, with what you are doing now. - Bob

I love these works and I totally agree, it's the integrity of the image that matters, what's in your heart, not how many or how few tools you used. I love this!

Regardless of software, tools, or techniques, true Art is all about our emotional interpretation of events. It is a quintessentially Human activity. Otherwise, the computers could do it all without us. And no computer could duplicate what you do, my friend. You have the FEEL of your subject. It is something that speaks to the soul. Bravo! Please do share more of your wonderful work.
