Description

Several years ago I attended an event and noticed a horse without rider mid the cavalry charge and asked if the rider had been hurt. I was told that the rider, who had been a re-enactor for many years had passed away. His companion of all those years simply needed, wanted to be the the others. He went about his duties if if his human friend were still guiding him in their charge across the battlefields of so many years. I have yet to gather the skills to depict this well, so I simply offer this as a tribute to the horses of the field.

That is so touching and what a beautiful image. It never occurred to me that the horse would feel that way. Thank you for sharing this with us.
