Description

After catching some Star Blazers on SyFy last week, I guess I was feeling a tad nostalgic for one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. As I was growing up in Seattle, I used to watch the English syndicated version before school as I ate breakfast - you couldn't get me away from the crappy TV in the kitchen until the credits completed rolling. But I digress, it was a blast to catch the first couple episodes and my DVR is now set ...I just hope they run the series before bailing as SyFy all too often does. This one was setup and rendered in Vue 9.5 Infinite and seriously put the screws to my Mac Pro as it rendered over 80-hours ...I guess the crazy atmosphere was a little much. On the upside, running in full 64-bit mode, Vue utilized a cool 10GB of my available RAM to keep things humming along. Thanks for looking!

I also grew up in the Seattle area and watched Starblazers every morning before school. I recognized this image immediately! It is awesome! And don't let those purists get to you...Our dubbed version was just fine. Fewer WW II Germany overtones.
