Description
This is a portrait of the same character I used in my image "Walls and Windows" back in October. I wanted to get as realistic as possible with the lighting, in Poser this time, not sure I've really hit it yet, but I'm getting closer.

I can't say that I have any real Poser lighting talents... your Vue lighting on such I always find more interesting. I think the lighting here is just too flat. If you have any of the Runtime IBL files I would try that to see if you can match what you do in Vue.

Yes, not totally satisfied with this one, but I felt the need to post so I could get your input, it helps to have other eyes on it. I've been reading up on different lighting techniques, IBL being one of those, but I was trying to get the skin texture to look more realistic. I'll keep working and repost when I get something more satisfactory.

If your using poser then idl studio from rdna is best in my opion lovely portrait though !!

Beautiful portrait! I like her colours and the soft tones of the skin. This would really benefit from BB's vss skin shader. I don't know which version of Poser you're using but I believe it's for Poser 7+ Let me know if you need more info :)

She has quite an air of elegance to her and I love her expression. The texture is quite realistic and I love the soft treatment of everything; the sense of realism actually comes from the softening I think as character-generators tend to make things hard and nearly implaccable, like pressed resin that's been left in the refrigerator! This is really well done and I love the feeling of elegance.
