Description

Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. This old church is about 10 miles out of town. The main frame of the building is still standing strong despite several decades since it was used. What used to be a sanctuary for the early settlers, is now a sanctuary for rodents, and various other critters that have used it over the years as a shelter from the bitter wind and cold. The floors inside are so covered with bird droppings there must have been several generations of starlings and sparrows that call it home. Jim

or perhaps little church on the prairie.. It looks like the starlings and sparrow have easy access for it appears that the windows have been removed or broken. Wonderful photo Jim, good to see you are out using that new camera, are you addicted yet?

It is worth the restoration but not a lot of people are willing to do such a thing these days. A very emotional shot.

A wonderful capture, Jim. I love this old church. Such a pity it's from the animals now. One must build another 'home' for the animals ;-0

Very good capture Jim. It was a really cold day when you took this shot. I really like how you caught the setting sun, behind the trees. It is nice to see the grass has been cut so that people can get a close view,as you and I did.. Great job,Jim. Love and Hugs..
