Description

Hi there:) This is an image i made for a customer. The thing was to make a reconstruction of a tram-depot in the state of the late fifties. The tram service was stopped in 1961.Today my customer has his office in the building on the right. :)

My some ohter informations: this render is to be printed in the format of 2 meters wide by 1.1 meter high. The printsize therefore is at 19000 by 10500 pixels and of course there are much more details to discover in that final resolution.:)

The detail just in this smaller size is amazing, everywhere I look, I see the sort of details that make this completely believable. I would have thought it was a photo.

It is a delight to see a real professional in action. Especionally the 19000 by 10500 resolution is impressive.

Extremely impressive. I wonder what computer you have to allow such huge render size with so many props in the scene and such texture detail.

Thanks:) Well, the native rendersize was smaller. I had to interpolate it in Ps.But the original resolution was still big enough ;) I use an HP Z800 Workstation with 16 threads a 2.8 Ghz and 12 gb of ram. I´m planning to upgrade this machine to 24 threads later this year.

Really nice. A person or 2 would add an extra sense of realism IMO. 24 threads? Thats just greedy ;)

" A person or 2 would add an extra sense of realism IMO" I tried that. I did not work. As soon as you get figures into a certain focus, the image dos not work in the way i want it to. Btw: one person is in the image inside the garage between the two trams. But you can see it more clearly in the big resolution.

the awesome amounts of detail in this just knock me off my feet. it's funny, but i'm absolutely blown away by the road. i'd love to know how to do something like that. i like it as is, without lots of people. it feels very peaceful.

Thanks :) Well, the copplestone pavement is a mixture of single stones and a displaced bitmap i made for that image. :)
