Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nicely seen and framed Marilyn. Here's what it is... The Custom House Tower - now Marriott's Custom House Hotel - is a skyscraper in McKinley Square, in the Financial District neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Construction began in the mid-19th century; the tower was added in the 1910s. Standing at 496 feet (151 m) tall, the tower is currently Boston's 17th-tallest building.

Fantastic shot!!!!

Sterling lighting effects and silhouetting in this capture, Maz! Is this the North Church, from which the signal came for Paul Revere to set out on his historic ride?

What a fabulous shot! What colors! What a big, pointy thing! I love the light/dark interplay in this and the wonderful surprise of gold and blue tones. This is one of those pictures that just jumps up and grabs me in the most pleasant way possible and for some reason it makes me feel the way I did when I first saw "El Arco." Ah, but you did that shot as well as this one, so it stands to reason that it would have the keen Marilyn-vibe to it. I really like this one, which isn't surprising at all. It's a humdinger of a great shot. Jeez, did I just say humdinger?
