Description

I know this is an important part of Boston's architecture, but for the life of me I can't remember its name. That happened a lot; we saw so much, so many amazing places, I just lost track of what was what. This was Marathon Monday morning, again right after sunrise. We were with my sister on the way to the buses. No way could I resist this shot!!

Nicely seen and framed Marilyn. Here's what it is... The Custom House Tower - now Marriott's Custom House Hotel - is a skyscraper in McKinley Square, in the Financial District neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Construction began in the mid-19th century; the tower was added in the 1910s. Standing at 496 feet (151 m) tall, the tower is currently Boston's 17th-tallest building.

Sterling lighting effects and silhouetting in this capture, Maz! Is this the North Church, from which the signal came for Paul Revere to set out on his historic ride?

What a fabulous shot! What colors! What a big, pointy thing! I love the light/dark interplay in this and the wonderful surprise of gold and blue tones. This is one of those pictures that just jumps up and grabs me in the most pleasant way possible and for some reason it makes me feel the way I did when I first saw "El Arco." Ah, but you did that shot as well as this one, so it stands to reason that it would have the keen Marilyn-vibe to it. I really like this one, which isn't surprising at all. It's a humdinger of a great shot. Jeez, did I just say humdinger?
