Description

Today was an absolutely gorgeous spring day! Jo and I broke out the cameras, and drove to Parkville, MO, and the White-Alloe Conservation Area. It's a wonderful nature preserve just north of Kansas City. There are several trails, one of which leads to a waterfall created by drainage from Riss Lake. I clamped my Digital Rebel to a park bench, and closed the f-stop down as far as it would go to get a slow shutter speed. I wanted to give the impression of motion in this delightful little waterfall. I shot a ton of photos while we hiked - many of which I think will make nice backgrounds for renders. I might even stick a few of them in the freebies area. Stay tuned... I'm still working on both Busted 5 and Page 7 of the TNA series. As both of these stories develop, I'm finding that more and more ideas are presenting themselves, and more and more, I'm being challenged to tell them in a creative way without things getting too out of control! LOL! It's a fun challenge, though, and I'm enjoying every second of it! I'm seriously considering getting another Wacom for my newest computer, and adding Blacksmith 3D to my toolbox.... Anyone out there using it - and if so, how do you like it? If I get it, I'll just buy the software outright - I know they have a subscrition for 20 bucks a month, but I'd rather just buy it... Thanks as always for your comments, faves and support! You keep me going!

How did I miss this? At least I got to see it now so that's a good thing. That whole f-stop trick worked well, as you definitely captured and convey a marvelous sense of motion (and thus, depth) and the colors are super! I need to decompress in a Nature Preserve soon, too...maybe with intriguing bugs playing dead if one gets too close. This is a great shot!
