Description
I would like to dedicate this image to my mom.....she's been suffering from dementia for the last several years and recently it has become quite severe...my brother and I lived at home with her to take care of her but unfortunately it had gotten to a point where she needed to be placed in a nursing home. It's been a little over a week now and surprising she is doing quite well and I on the other hand am heart-broken & devastated...I wanted to create this warrior image for everyone suffering from this horrible disease and for their families who have to watch their loved ones disappear before their very eyes...Hopefully one day soon the fight for a Real Cure will be over...

We had to put my father into a home about a year and a half ago for dementia. Although it was a real bitch at the time, he is actually better off for it - I think it is harder on the rest of the family - at least at first. Eventually you realize they really don't notice that much difference in their own lives... it is you who realizes the issues and the hurt. But once you realize that it is your problem then you can make strategies to deal with it. You have probably given for a very long time, it is now time to give back to yourself.

Beautiful render, she looks very sad and wistful. I'm so sorry to hear that you and your family are suffering so much. You must be very strong to have endured this for 7 years although now you must feel very lost. Know we'll be thinking of you.

Thank you for a beautiful render, and I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope that your mother will find her new home a place that she can make new friends and that her condition improves, somewhat. Best wishes. Trevor.
