Description

A watercolor sketch I made this morning. In this moment I finally got the Moleskine, I have ordered long time ago. Lol! It is such a funny name for a sketchbook :) I am smiling every time I think about it. Simply because I completely misunderstood what it was, untill looked it up in Google. Thought it was a drawing style like "Manga" or something. only with strange machines. In danish the word machine is "maskine", so Moleskine, could for me be a special kind of imaginary machine. Especially because a guy in Flickr called his fantastic machine drawings for Moleskine 1 and Moleskine 2 and so on. It is allowed to laugh loud now :-D Have a wonderful week. We have still beautiful but cold weather. Too cold to work in the garden, unfortunately ;-)))) Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

I immediately thought of "moleskin," which is a product (nice and soft and cushy) for putting on your heels where your shoes rub, or if you have a tender spot or a corn. It's especially good for hiking. You just cut a piece off and it has adhesive on one side so it sticks to your skin. None of this has anything to do with drawing, so I thought, "why is Helle purchasing moleskin with such glee?" LOL! (It isn't really the skin of moles ... just soft like that, I guess!) Language and culture can get us all in a lot of trouble! LOL! I love your watercolor. Such a nice composition, and the colors are lovely! You make me want to be there. We can take a nice, long walk with our Moleskine sketchbooks, remembering to put moleskin on our heels to prevent blisters so we can stay out all day. :P

A rich and beautiful painting, Helle! I really like the watercolour... it's so soft and delicate, yet reveals so much detail and heart! Cute little blurb you wrote as well.. it made me smile too! :) It is indeed an interesting name... :) Hope you have a beautiful week, my Friend.
