Description

Thanks to the info in a bird book we had worked out the chicks should fledge today. So we have kept an eye on them all day. I started preparing our evening meal having decided they would not jump so late in the day at 6 o'clock. I glanced up to see only one chick left so I got a shot of him sat in the hole ready to go. He flew about 30 metres into some bushes halfway down the garden. He was so quick my next frame was of him flapping, or so I thought. It was just the nestbox, he was gone out of shot and out of sight!
