Description

current results for my feeble attempt at writing a true GI render plug-in for DS only postwork resize for upload noise generated by downsizing, there is an insignificant amount in the uncompressed version original 2400x2400 using one main light with GI for fill and bounce, DOF in render, at low setting of 8 samples, 643 seconds render time on a 4 core 5Gb RAM 64 Bit machine...render time drops to 38 seconds on the 8 core 32Gb 64Bit workstation, no point in trying it on the 32Bit 2Gb RAM web machine haven't worked out just exactly how to do displacement and bump yet and having some weird inconsistent smoothing issues to track down...note mesh artifacts on shirt at left hand main light too close to subject causing hard shadows, pulling the light back or lowering the power softens the shadows just like it should still a looooong way to go before it's ready for prime time but I feel like I'm making a little progress. :)
