Description

Julia and I paid a visit to the Memphis downtown Mississippi River area today, and what a shock awaited us! This is supposed to be a 100 year flood, and considering we still have 4 days until the crest, I can believe it. This is near where Beale Street originates off Riverside Drive. Normally this railing is well above the river, but the Mighty Mississip' has already overrun the barrier. The beginning of Beale Street is now completely under water. I remember the flood of 1993, but this one is serious! More to come. marshall
