Description

Old Barn near My house. Land is for sale so I expect this structure to be torn down. I don't know about any of You but it kind of makes me sad to see such delightful old structures destroyed. Thanks for viewing.

Let's just hope, that somebody who will buy the land will also fix up this wonderful old barn, and call it a 'Renovators Dream', I know - I would ! I also wish that (Tennesseecowgirl) Lynell, could see this one, thanks for sharing this with us, BB

This makes me think about when this was built and new...and the road didn't go through so close ... when crops and chickens were the day's concerns.

Wonderful photo, you're right that it is a really beautiful old barn. I know of one time somebody renovated an old barn like this into their house, it was really amazing, but the amount of work and the cost was huge. Still, it will be a sad thing to see that barn come down.

Thanks for your comment. Hadn't seen your gallery. Looks like you're a master of the "old barn." I used to take 3-4 day weekends just searching for places like this. I'd wander around and through them with my camera. Love the old places....like you seem to. What a wonderful silo with the touch of medieval fortress added to it.

Nice photo, and a sad state of affairs when we just let treasures like this simply fade away

This is a great shot. Fascinating capture with the stone silo. Nice stone work. I agree about saving bits of Americana. We live in Florida and spent the summer in New Hampshire 3 years ago. I expected to see hundreds of old barns. Nothing worth shooting. Dana
